Athenry Camogie News March 2023


Best of luck to our féile team as they look to make it back to back Jackie Brien cup titles for the club. The girls will face Pearses, Turloughmore and Kinvara in the group stages with the group games taking place on Monday the 3rd, Wednesday the 5th and Friday the 7th of April. Keep an eye on our social media for fixtures and results.

St Patrick’s Day Parade:
A big thank you to all our youngest members of the club that came
out to march on St. Patricks Day. We were lucky with the weather!

U16 Camogie:
Well done to our U16 C team (our first team out this year) who have won their opening 2 games of the U16 league and are nearly guaranteed to be in the final with 1 group game remaining. Best of luck!

County team news:

A massive congratulations to the following Athenry players on their selection to the 2023 Galway U16 Panel. The club is very proud of them: Kerri O Driscoll, Tarron Kilkenny, Amanda Conway, Eva McGlynn & Clodagh Burke.

Newcomers Session:
The season for new joiners (girls who didn’t play last year or girls who were born in 2017 or 2018) will commence with introductory indoor session for both parent and child. Bring along your hurls, if you have one.
