The 2024 Senior B County Champions have booked their place in the Windows and Rooflights LTD Senior A Championship semi final after a two point win over Mullagh in a blustery Kilbeacanty on Saturday. Carrie Dolan’s accuracy from free’s was pivitol to their victory on the day. Rachel Monagahan and Dolan swapped frees in the opening ten minutes. Player of the year nominee Aoife Dohonue and Monaghan added points to Mullagh’s tally by the midway point of the half. Scores were hard to come by for the remining 15 minutes of the half with Dolan pointing two frees either side of a Monaghan free as Mullagh went in ahead by the minimum on a scoreline of Mullagh 0-4 Clarinbridge 0-3 at the break. Mullagh got off to a dream start in the second half with a Monaghan free and two quickfire points from Tegan Canning. Dolan followed on the 35th minute with her first point from play but a minute later, Canning’s purple patch continued as she the back of the net for Mullagh to give them a five point lead. Dolan led from the front for Clarinbridge and answered the goal with three frees. On the 43rd minute, Dolan found the back of the net for Clarinbridge to give them the lead for the first time in the game. Monaghan hit back with two placed balls by the 46 th minute while Isobel Whyte and Canning swapped scores to leave Mullagh 1-10 to 1-8 ahead heading into the final 8 minutes of normal time. But it was the 2025 All Ireland winning captain who showed her leadership to slot over four placed balls for Clarinbridge during the remainder of the game as Clarinbridge went on to win by two points. They will now face the test of the All Ireland Champions, Sarsfields, next weekend in the semi final.



Ardrahan 1-14
Davitts 1-16
Davitts edged out Ardrahan in a thrilling Senior A quarter final on Sunday morning in Kilbeacanty to book their spot in the Senior A semi final in a weeks time. Siobhán Gardiner opened the scoring from the throw in when she pointed for Ardrahan. Two Catherine Hanley points, one through a free and a point from Claire Blake had Davitts in front after 6 minutes. Aisling Dolphin through a free and Ava Lynskey from play brought the sides back level but Ciara Hickey edged her side back in front by the minimum at the midway point of the half. However, Ardrahan were awarded a penalty and Gardiner made no mistake in sticking the ball in the back of the Davitts net to restore their lead. Leah Behan and Lynskey swapped scores but Davitts took a hold of the game again with a goal from Lorraine Farrell and another Behan point. Lynskey and Dolphin, through a free swapped scores with Chloe Farragher and Blake but it was Ardrahan who had the final say of the half with another Dolphin free and one from Dolphin to leave the sides deadlocked at 1-8 piece at the break. Hickey and Dolphin through a free exchanged scores in the opening 4 minutes of the second half. Hanley through a free and Leah Behan followed with a point each to edge Davitts in front again but Dolphin through a placed ball reduced the deficit to the minimum by the 40th minute. Hanley slotted over her fouth point of the day through a placed ball but Gardiner and Dolphin through a free pointed to bring the sides level with 14 minutes of normal time remaining. Hanley through a free and Farrell edged Davitts in front again by the 51st minute. Dolphin pointed another free for Ardrahan but two Hanley points from play either side of a point from Olivia Keehan helped Davitts in getting over the line by two points. They now face Athenry in the semi final next weekend.
Senior A Relegation Final
St Thomas 1-14
Oranmore Maree 0-21
Extra time was needed to separate St Thomas and Oranmore Maree in the Senior A relegation final played in Killimordaly on Sunday morning. St Thomas started the strongest with points from Amy Caulfield and Aoife Flannery. Ailish O’Reilly opened the scoring edged Oranmore Maree in front by the 13th minute as she slotted over three points, one from a placed ball. St Thomas hit a purple patch scoring 0-5 without reply through Caulfield (0-2), Sarah Healy (0-2F) and Flannery. Credit must go to Healy in the St Thomas goal who pulled off some great saves during this period too. Grace Tarpey got Oranmore Maree’s first score in 13 minutes on the 26 th minute but St Thomas responded brilliantly with a goal through Caulfield. O’Reilly with a free and Eimear O’Donovan replied for Oranmore Maree but it was Caulfield who had the final say of the half when she pointed a free as St Thomas went in 1-8 to 0-6 ahead at the break. O’Reilly through a free and Roisín Black slotted over two quickfire points for Oranmore Maree at the start of the second half. Caulfield and O’Reilly swapped scores by the 37 th minute. Healy with her third free of the day, Caulfield through a free and Flannery followed with points but it was Oranmore Maree who finished the strongest with 0-5 from O’Reilly (0-3F) and 0-1 from Rachael Hanniffey. Both sides had chances in normal time to clench the game but the wind was proving difficult for both teams. Ailish O’Reilly led by example in extra time scoring all of Oranmore Maree’s 0-6 points (0-2F). Caulfield hit 0-2 frees for St Thomas but it wasn’t enough as Oranmore Maree secure their Senior A status for 2026.



Senior B Championship Quarter Final
Carnmore 2-14
Ahascragh Caltra 0-7
Carnmore have booked their place in the Windows and Rooflights LTD Senior B Championship semi final after they had a thirteen point victory over the 2024 Intermediate Champions Ahascragh Caltra in testing conditions in Kilbeacanty on Saturday. It was Ahascragh Caltra who got off the mark the quickest with an Aoibhe Glynn free and a point from Aoibheann Fitzpatrick in the opening five minutes. Three Alannah Fahy frees and a point Emma Murphy saw Carnmore take the lead by the midway point of the half. Glynn replied with a free for Ahascragh Caltra but it was Carnmore who finished the half the strongest with six unanswered points. Three more Fahy frees and points from Emily Brogan and 0-2 from Jennifer Hughes to give Carnmore a 0-10 to 0-3 lead heading into the half time break. Emma Reaney and Caoimhe Ní Ceallaigh hit back with a point each for Ahascragh Caltra in the opening three minutes of the second half. The scores dried up for a ten-minute period but Jessica Donlon got Carnmore off the mark in the second half when she found the back of the net for Carnmore’s first major of the day. Fahy and Ní Ceallaigh swapped scores with 13 minutes remaining in the contest. Both sides failed to score for another ten-minute period as they battled the testing conditions. Fahy and Hughes hit back on the 57th and 58th minutes with a point each for Carnmore. Reaney got her second of the half on the 62nd minute but it was Carnmore who finished the strongest with a point from Ava Morley and a second goal from Grainne Fahy on the 65th minute as Carnmore ran out 2-14 to 0-7 winners on the day. They now face the only undefeated side left in the championship, Shamrocks, next weekend in the semi final.
Salthill Knocknacarra 1-17
Castlegar 1-7
In a clash of the city teams, Salthill Knocknacarra’s strong second half showing helped them in getting over the line against Castlegar in Castlegar on Sunday morning. Laura Kelly and Chloe Broderick through a free swapped scores in the opening minute. Aoibhe Joyce and Aoife Kelly followed with two more points for Salthill Knocknacarra. Broderick pointed and Kelly exchanged two frees each by the 23rd minute. Joyce gave Salthill Knocknacarra a massive boost when she found the back of the net three minutes later. Broderick responded with her fifth free of the day but it was Laura Kelly who had the final say in the half with two more frees as Salthill Knocknacarra went in 1-8 to 0-5 ahead at the break. Laura through a free and Louise Mahoney swapped scores at the start of the second half. Salthill Knocknacarra began to get a grip on the game with 0-5 unanswered points through Kelly 0-4, (0-2F) and Aoife Kelly. Caoimhe Callaghan replied with Castlegar’s first score in 17 minutes when she got her first score of the day but Salthill Knocknacarra didn’t back down with two more Kelly points, 0-1 through a free and one from Sorcha McGinley. Callaghan got a goal at the end of the game but it wasn’t enough as Salthill Knocknacarra ran out ten point winners on the day. They will now face Craughwell in the semi final next weekend.
Senior B Relegation Final

Kinvara 0-16
Extra time was needed to separate Eyrecourt and Kinvara in the Senior B Relegation final. The sides remained deadlocked throughout the opening half. 0-5 Aideen Lyons points (0-3F), one placed ball from Kayla Earner and a point from u16 star Amy Kenny while Aoibheann Barry (0-3F), Ciara Costello (0-2) and one each from Nina McKeown and Ella Bergin to leave the level at 0-7 a piece at the break. Both sides found it hard to score in the second half only slotting over 0-4 each. Earner, Lyons (0-2) and Paula Kenny pointed for Eyrecourt while Barry 0-3 and Bergin kept Kinvara in touch to bring the game to extra time. Lyons (0-2) and Amanda Lynch did slot over scores for Eyrecourt in added time but it was Aoibheann Barry 0-3 and one each from Bergin and Costello as Kinvara live to fight another year in Senior B Camogie for 2026.
